I purchased the car from an estate and the heirs had little info as to the cars history. I pulled most of the numbers that I could find and was not able to cross these with a Corvette book, look at the numbers and maybe you vett experts can help me. The car looks like an original big block, rear sway bar, cowl induction hood, correct breather, 427 emblems, 7,000 rpm tach. Numbers: Trim 402, it is a black leather car, Paint 974, it is a rally red car, intake A1867 could not find that number, Block, GM 1 CCNV2 with raised letters HIPER, headers, so no exhaust number, head is stamped with 2 numbers one is 1/4" TO939LE 2nd is 1/8" 19J126421, the radiator is a heavy duty type and the fan pulley has 3 belt grooves. The car is in excellent condition, the body shows no evidence of repair, the wheel well lips are all nice, no showing cracks, the paint is very nice, all body seams and joints are straight and consisyent in width, chrome is all very nice, the interior must be new, it looks great except for the leather seats, they look very good and might be original, the black conv top is brand new, equipped with windows, p/s , p/b, dual mirrors. The car runs strong, trans shifts hard, stops straight, tight steering. 80,000 miles. April 25, 2010. Car was imported to Switzerland in November 2011. Several restoration had been needed to pass Swiss inspections to get the famos Old timer status entered. Its truly in an excellent condition now.
